A Sweet In Home Motherhood Session | CT Family Photographer

I met this mama when she reached out asking to contribute to my “Stories we hold” art series, currently in progress. The series focuses on mothers sharing stories and words, collected in their own hand writing within a sacred journal, and passed mother to mother. As I take everyone’s portraits, I’m also inviting the opportunity for motherhood sessions while headshots are taken.

I spent some time with this mama and her sweet babe, watching them play, laugh, embrace, snuggle, play with wind chimes, toys (all under the protection of a sweet pup!).

Every time I leave a session with hundreds of sweet moments I know are present on my camera, I stop and feel grateful for this work, for the people I photograph, and for being able to document this season of life for so many. These are moments that will live on, that a sweet baby will grow up and hold within her hands, smile as she sees the love and happiness radiating from her mother for her. This session may have lasted an hour or two, but these moments will live on, forever.
