Celebrating the Goddess Within | A Goddess Session

This mama and I met a few years ago, and we recently reconnected by holding space for one another during Sacred Mother’s Circle.

She is a ray of sunshine, a calming and empowering soul, a true light in this world.

When she asked me about a Goddess Session, I excitedly encouraged her, and together we created magic on a beautiful September day.

Before our session together, we sat down and dove a little bit deeper into why this session was important to her, how we could honor her divine power, and the pieces that make her, her.

For her that meant being connected with nature in one of her favorite places. She expressed her love for yoga, and how she loved how her body looked and felt in certain yoga poses.

She arrived adorned in macrame handmade by her husband and her, including the sandals she wore for her wedding.

There is always moments in the beginning of an empowerment session when we realize the camera is pointed at us. The fear of being seen, witnessed, either by the camera or people who happen to be walking by. The beginning is always the time to warm up the body, the soul, the heart.

Then something emerges, from within. Goddess. Sacred. Divine. SHE is let forth, surrounded by her own fire, her soul, her power. There in that moment no one else matters, she has found her divine power.

I am merely the vessel in which to witness and document these moments, reflecting back the Goddess I see.

I am absolutely in awe, and inspired, by my friend and the amazing images we created together. To be able to witness such strength and sacred feminine power filled my soul.
